Vinyl Is Good For The Environment

By Rob Terry

Before IPads and IPhones there was simply small black round ovals that the older generation called records. They played our favorite songs and we enjoyed them immensely. No one ever thought then that vinyl would become the household word that it is today.

One of the first things many would think of would be siding on your home. This material is long lasting and acts as an insulator. It aids in keeping in the warmth in winter and keeping out the heat of summer. Add complimentary shutters of the same material and your home will remain beautiful for many years.

Windows that used to need replacement because the elements would rot the wood are a thing of the past. Today you will find windows encased in a thin coat of vinyl that keeps out all the damaging elements. Sealed between the two layers of glass you can have mullions installed to add a special feature to your windows.

Decks have become a way of increasing the size of our home by taking advantage of outdoor living. Again this material is being used for its longevity and ease of keeping clean. Size depends on the amount of room you have to build a deck and don't forget that pool side sunbathing area.

Storage is something that many never have enough of. Storage barns are often made of a heavy vinyl. They can be purchased assembled or the do-it-yourself type person can choose to assemble it themselves. Either way, its the perfect solution for all those odds and ends that have no home.

It is difficult to think of anything now that can't be made of vinyl. From a deck, to siding, to that storage barn, or the tires on your car, it is a useful commodity. Made from recycled materials is an added plus that helps the environment.
