Truth About Natural Nasal Sprays And Commercial Nasal Sprays

By Helen Miller

A lot of people suffering from sinus or nasal congestion could use the help of natural nasal sprays. These solutions are used to relieve sinus congestion and similar symptoms and congestion itself. It helps unclog blocked sinuses to make it easier to breathe. Keep in mind, though, that congestion is often accompanied by other symptoms, so these decongestants, while useful, might not be sufficient to cure a disease.

Understanding what the spray does is very necessary. You cannot expect to relieve a fever through the use of the saline solution alone. Fevers typically come with congestion. These products will cure the congestion and, therefore, aid in quickening your recovery process because you will be more comfortable.

Having said that, providing relief and comfort is what the solutions do. They allow you to feel more comfortable even though you have fever, so that you could sleep. In addition, the spray will relieve alike symptoms such as sleeplessness, headaches and stiff necks. A rule of the thumb, here, is to never invest so much hope that the spray will work like an elixir. They will not.

A vast difference lies in between commercial and natural congestion cleansers. Two of which are effectiveness and price. The commercially sold solutions are quite costly, although they do provide great relief. The natural ones are more available because you can find them inside your own house, basically in the kitchen.

The chemical-based solutions that are being sold today over the counter use harsh chemicals like xylometazoline, phenylephrine and oxymetazoline. These chemicals can cause addiction and dependence and must be taken moderately. A better approach is through resorting to the use of natural materials found in the house.

You will not even have to go any farther than the kitchen on your search. The faucet and the countertop will be your little laboratory while you create your own natural solutions. A good example of an effective spray is a saline solution: salt mixed with water. Put salt, preferably natural salt, in lukewarm water and stir until the salt is fully dissolved. Get an empty spray canister, pop it open and put the solution in it. Though, you must first clean the canister thoroughly, especially if it contained pepper or the likes before.

Natural nasal sprays are just as effective as commercially available sprays. They are even less expensive. You can make them within the comforts of your kitchen and be relieved of your nasal congestion in minutes.
